Learn how to use reflection throughout a service learning course. Review high quality components of service learning while learning various modalities of reflection.

Assessment in Service Learning: Dr. Eileen McFall
Learn how to measure how well your students learn the course academic objectives as well as other elements such as critical thinking and civic engagement.

Beginners - experienced practitioners. Bring your course syllabus.

Cost:  EKU Faculty/Staff FREE for BOTH days

Tulane University’s Center for Public Service and the International Association for Research on Service-learning and Community Engagement is proud to invite you to the Eighth International Research Conference on Service-learning and Community Engagement.  The 2008 conference will be held October 25th to 28th at the Marriott Hotel at the Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.

The National Youth Leadership Council requests proposals for workshops at The 20th Annual National Service-Learning Conference in Nashville, March 18- 21, 2009. Submissions must be postmarked by September 26, 2008.

Event: Gulf-South Summit on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Through Higher Education
Date: March 25-27, 2009 (Baton Rouge, Louisiana)

TOPIC: Civic Engagement at the Crossroads:  Rethinking Stakeholder Roles and Responsibilities

The mission of the Gulf-South Summit on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement through Higher Education is to promote networking among practitioners, research, ethical practices, reciprocal campus-community partnerships, sustainable programs, and a culture of engagement and public awareness through service-learning and other forms of civic engagement.

The 2009 Summit will bring together national speakers and more than 350 practitioners for dialogue and a forum for best practices.
