EKU's Service-Learning Goals are to:

1. Identify and promote shared operational definitions of service-learning and civic engagement.
2. Facilitate interest in service-learning and civic engagement on the part of the University community.
   1. Identify exemplary models of service-learning
   2. Identify funding resources to support activities related to service-learning.
   3. Develop a grant-writing team to submit the Learn and Serve America grant proposal in 2007.
3. Develop policy and program recommendations for the University that support service-learning and civic engagement.
4. Facilitate introduction of service-learning into the academic dialogue.
5. Serve as an Advisory group for the American Democracy Project.
6. Serve as EKU's advisory group for the Campus Compact.
7. Facilitate and encourage service-learning and civic engagement activities in our service region.
